The predominance of CMV pp65-specific CD8⁺ T-cell responses in the CD8⁺CD57⁺ T-cell population. The frequencies of CMV pp65-specific IFN-γ-positive cells (a), TNF-α-positive cells (b), and CD107a-positive cells (c) were compared between the CD8⁺CD57⁺ and CD8⁺CD57⁻ T-cell populations. CMV pp65-specific cells were more frequent among CD8⁺CD57⁺ T cells than among CD8⁺CD57⁻ T cells. The p values were calculated using the paired t-test.
