The comparisons of baPWV among normal fasting blood sugar, pre-diabetes and diabetes mellitus groups. The differences of baPWV among three groups are significant (P for trend = 0.036) by multivariate linear regression analysis (adjustments for age, sex, office SBP). Subjects with diabetes mellitus had higher baPWV than in subjects with normal FBS (P = 0.016). BaPWV in subjects with pre-diabetes is slightly higher, but not statistically significant than in subjects with normal FBS (P = 0.377). Data are presented as mean ± standard deviation of the mean. baPWV = brachial ankle pulse wave velocity. FBS = fasting blood sugar. SBP = systolic blood pressure
